Right on!
I never understand why SOME people feel it's necessary for the government to take away the civil rights of certain groups of people, yet seem to go ape-shit (pardon my Franรงais) when the government seems to even remotely encroach upon their own lives (e.g. gun restriction laws, raising taxes, lowering the speed limit on a certain part of the highway, etc.). There are some people I don't like either, but I would NEVER want the government to criminalize them based on my own personal opinion of them.
If you truly believe in God, and you believe God is the only One to deliver judgment, then you would do better than to have the government take away people's civil rights based on YOUR OWN judgment (because, yes, it is your own, as you reached your decision based on your own interpretation of the Word, or another's interpretation of it with which you agreed). But, most importantly, if you believe that God loves, then surely you can also believe that His love extends to all people, regardless of our differences.
I can only pray that this injustice towards our brothers and sisters will be overturned soon.
